Sustainability
Truly honoring the beauty and potential of the Columbia Valley goes beyond crafting an exceptional wine.
It means preserving and cultivating the land and supporting the people who care for it, to ensure Washington’s wine country remains healthy for future generations.
Sustainable WA Certified
Métier Wines are Sustainable WA certified, a rigorous, science-based program tailored specifically to Washington’s unique terroir. Through third-party verification this certification ensures responsible practices that protect the environment, support vineyard workers and strengthen the long-term success of the wine industry.
Since the 2022 vintage (the first of the Sustainable WA program), our winemaking team worked with vineyard owners throughout the Columbia Valley to ensure that the blocks farmed for Métier were eligible for certification, in addition to producing the high-quality wine expected from the team at DeLille. The vineyard owners committed to ensuring fair wages, safe working conditions and sustainable growing methods are not only practiced, but third-party certified.
Look for the Sustainable WA logo on our Métier wines to enjoy with the confidence that at least 75% certified sustainable grapes were used in every bottle, and you’re a part of supporting the land and people behind them for the long term.
Eco-Friendly Packaging
All three wines are bottled in lightweight glass, decreasing the amount of energy needed to transport each case. We have removed the capsules from our red wines – reducing the amount of waste that reaches the landfill with each bottle enjoyed.

Vegan-Friendly
Métier wines are also vegan-friendly, meaning no animal byproducts were used during any stage of the winemaking process. This helps to minimize the carbon footprint of each of our wines.
